A Foul Stench
"A foul stench is in the air. The funk of one-droppers everywhere."
(My apologies to Michael Jackson for that last paragraph. I shouldn't have. My Momma taught me better.)
Have you seen them lately? I mean really seen them? They're running scared, doing their best Chicken Little. Or is it "chicken with it's head cut off"? I'm not too sure these days.
They no longer even bother to debate us or "counsel" us on the error of our ways. Instead, they are now in full attack mode. They feel surrounded. Weak. Vulnerable. Their current wave of attack is not offensive, but completely defensive from their vantagepoint. The Jim Crow Crowd knows full well that the war for racial purity ended in 1967, but can't seem to pull all their troops from the boonies. It's guerrilla warfare. It's usually not a major problem as much as it is a nuisance and drain on our time. The Crowd knows they've lost, but instead of damage control and peace treaties, they've decided to fight to the death. But little do they know, no one is going to show up for this revolution.
With the final repeal of Plessy v. Ferguson through the Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia in 1967, the nation's demographics have been changing too rapidly to be stopped by the ravings of white or black supremacists intent on ripping us apart along imaginary color lines. People are marrying interracially. They are not going to stop. People are having multiracial children. They are not going to stop. Those multiracial children are growing up to sell millions of albums, win golf tournament after golf tournament, play world class tennis or work in burger joints or car plants. Whatever. It really doesn't matter. They are not going to stop. This overt freewill is obviously too much for the Crowd to take. Can't have people mingling, loving, marrying, procreating and succeeding in life and (gasp) doing it without permission.
The Crowd know they've lost the social argument, so instead of keeping their objections philosophical, they've decided to take it to the gutter by resorting to the most vile of human behaviours. They send us death threats. They accost us in the mall in front of our children. They make comments behind our backs at worship. They demand we explain ourselves. They tell lies about us in newsgroups and discussion forums. They get physical. They defame our spouses. They threaten our children. There seems no limit to the depths of moral depravity which these one-dropper supremacists will sink to try and frighten us into submission, yet it only serves to strengthen our resolve.
We are right, because it is our right. We are just, because we live by our beliefs in self-determination. We are winning because we've had enough and we're not gonna take it anymore.
They are hate, because they fear us. They are immoral, because they wish to control us. They have already lost, because we refuse to quit.
The war for racial purity is over. One-droppers of all hues take notice, I'll not debate you, I'll not explain myself to you, I'll not fear you, I'll not knuckle under to you. I'll simply keep on keeping on, secure in the knowledge that you are now acting completely out of fear and hatred. Your control is dwindling and so are your ranks. Your days are numbered. It's just a matter of time.
